French Pique |

We offer this wonderful fabric with two types of finishes: hand hemstitched and hand scalloped. No fabric accepts a monogram like French pique. Its perfect weight, thickness and softness lend it to embroidery beautifully. Monograms will register cleanly and clearly against its ground of pure white. Completely serviceable, it can be machine-washed, tumble-dried and no ironing is necessary. This gorgeous, heirloom quality fabric puffs up after laundering and gets softer with age and use. Linens will remain fresh and new after years of service and it’s all cotton so stains release easily.

Hand Hemstitched Italian Linen |

Our classic hand-hemstitched line is made with heavier linen fabric, from Italian yarns. Its weight is perfect for monogramming yet it has a lovely, soft hand. Wide borders with hand-mitered corners allow our linens to lie flat without puckering. We add two beads of reinforced machine stitching above and below the row of hemstitching. This prevents threads from breaking so it can even stand up to commercial laundering.
A romancing insert with laundering instructions is included. Freshly ironed and gift packaged, our linens are ready for gift giving and for immediate use. Set a table with timeless charm. Slubs and slight imperfections in the lovely linen grain are inherent in old world looming and add to its character and individuality.
